The Great Lakes backlit map comes in various sizes and is framed with locally sourced, milled, and kiln dried 1" rough cut walnut. 
 
Maps are cut and engraved using a laser cutter.  Because each map is handmade and finished and due to the natural variations of wood grain, each item will have slight variations from the photo.
 
The LED backlight is powered via a USB cable will come with a remote allowing you to choose the backlit color of your choice.  You also are able to make the backlight fade between colors or flash.  I find keeping it on a soft white or slight blue gives the lakes the best effect.
 
The USB cable is approximately 12” long and can be plugged into any USB charging outlet.
 
Depending on the distance to your USB outlet, you may need to get a USB extension cable. 
 
This item takes a few weeks for me to make.  You can expect it to ship between 2 to 4 weeks of placing your order.
