Lake Mendota Ornament

Celebrate the beauty of Madison’s lake life with this handcrafted Lake Mendota ornament, designed and made by Sundling Road in McFarland, Wisconsin.

Each ornament features a precision laser-cut wooden frame surrounding Lake Mendota, the largest in the Yahara Chain of Lakes, set with translucent blue acrylic that beautifully catches and reflects the glow of your Christmas lights.

Home to the University of Wisconsin–Madison shoreline, sailboats gliding past Memorial Union Terrace, and sunsets over Picnic Point, Lake Mendota reflects the energy and charm of Madison’s outdoor spirit. This ornament captures that feeling in a timeless and meaningful keepsake.

Each piece is made by me at Sundling Road, with occasional help from my son Noah. We are a small Wisconsin business, and every ornament is made with care rather than mass produced.
