Custom Layered Lake Map

We all have a special lake, but it is not always easy to find something that truly reflects that connection. This custom layered lake map is designed to celebrate the lake that means the most to you. If you do not already see your lake available, I can custom make one for you.

This style features a black frame with a white mat, along with your lake and its location custom engraved and cut. Optional features such as roads, backlighting, and custom markers can also be added.

I personally design each map, send the design for your approval, then program and cut it using my CO2 laser cutter. After cutting, I seal or stain the map pieces and hand assemble them. The map and frame are made from multiple layers of plywood, creating a dimensional piece that is far more than a flat print.

If you choose the backlit option, I modify the design so LEDs can be placed between the ground and water layers. This allows the lake to be illuminated in a color of your choice using the included remote. The LEDs are powered by a USB cable that extends from the bottom of the map. I prefer USB power over batteries so you do not have to deal with frequent battery changes.

Each piece is made by me at Sundling Road, with occasional help from my son Noah. We are a small business located in McFarland, Wisconsin, and every map is made with care rather than mass produced.

What happens next:

- I may reach out with additional questions before starting your design

- I will create your custom map design

- I will send you a proof for approval

- Once approved, I will make your map and ship it out
